Hello~ Thanks for posting and sorry that it took so long for a reply. The best thing to do is try some different foods. What are you feeding him now? Find out what the HS was feeding him and get some of that. Mix in your food and the other food that HS was feeding him. This will help him to adjust to the new food. Some ferrets will adjust to new food...others won't. It may take trying different foods out and see which one that he likes. I mainly use 8&1 Ultimate ferret food. We run a shelter in Sierra Vista, AZ and so far all of the ones that we have had in here have adjusted to it with no problem. We also do a mix with about 4 other foods just so that they have choices and it seems to help. You can email me at samls@theriver.com if you have any more questions.
