I am quite shocked about your letter. Yes, we are a small organization but we try and do what is the best for all the ferrets we recieve. No, we do not keep the "best" ferrets for ourselves. We happen to keep some that are totally unadoptable for one reason or another. Most are adrenal or have severe biting problems. Most of us have full time jobs and full time families who are in this work for the animals. Anyone who volunteers at a shelter knows it is a very time consuming and very heartbreaking ordeal. I am sorry you did not recieve a timely response but our Webmaster works and has a job also. I don't think you see the full picture of the hours put in running ferrets into the vets for shots, or illnesses or surgeries. Have you attended any of of vacination clinics? Held two times a year? Have you organized our picnics held two times a year? Helped at the bi yearly rummage sales? Ran out to the Humane Society at 9 p m to rush a ferret to a vet? If you think you want part of this contact me and I will make sure you are contacted next time we hold a function. As a matter of fact we have a vacination clinic next Sat at 2-4 if you'd like to volunteer. I have BEGGED in our newletter for help with the rummage sales and only had the regular people show up. So,, don't say we are a clique. We are a very small group and willing to accept help and we are doing the best we can with the funds and man (woman) power we have. I am sorry if we offended you but I think you were mislead. Hope to hear from you for help on the clinic next week.
